What is entrepreneur residence?

The Entrepreneur Residence Category enables migrants who have established high growth and innovative businesses with export potential to be granted residence.

What conditions need to apply for entrepreneur residence?

There are two ways of qualifying for residence under the Entrepreneur Residence Category: the 2 year option and the 6 month option.

Significant benefit to New Zealand You must be able to demonstrate that your business is profitable (or has the potential to be profitable within 12 months) and that it provides significant benefit to New Zealand. In addition to demonstrating that your business is profitable (or has the potential to be profitable within 12 months), at least three fulltime equivalent jobs must be created for New Zealanders. If you purchased a business, these must be new jobs in addition to any positions already existing in the business when it was purchased.

Basic entrepreneur migrant flow:

1. Assessment

Go4nz’s professional immigration adviser will assess the applicant’s situation based on the assessment form which completed by applicant.

2. Contract: Business Travel

Our company provides a business trip opportunity for our clients who want to discuss the details of contract, fees, application flow, etc. with our professional immigration adviser face to face. The business trip will be 7 days and our company will help to apply the visitor visa.

3. Official contact: Apply for Entrepreneur Work Visa

When the discussion of business proposal between applicant and immigration adviser finished, our company will officially provide a entrepreneur residence application commission contract. After signing the contract, our immigration adviser will provide a list of application documents for applicants. We will check and arrange the documents once we received them from the applicants.

4. Making Business Plan

Our immigration adviser will custom the business plan for the applicants based on applicants’ personal background and situation.

5. Apply work visa and entry New Zealand

Apply for long term business visa. applicant can entry New Zealand, when the visa application approve.

6. Establish company

According to the business plan, the applicant will establish the company. (There is no service fee in this step. Applicant will establish the company by himself. If the applicants need, our company could introduce some business trading professionals for them.)

7. Apply for Resident Visa

After 6 or 24 months, Once the applicant successful established the business and met all entrepreneur residence criteria, s/he will be able to apply for the Resident Visa.

8. Residence Visa application approval

After the Residence Visa application approved by Immigration New Zealand, the applicant need to be self-employed in the business at least two years.
